Next General Meeting Details
The next General Meeting of the Michigan Brewers Guild will take place Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti from 3-5 pm. This will be the third and final General Meeting this year. All Guild members are encouraged to attend so they are informed of the Guild’s activities and have a chance to offer input.
The number of General Membership Meetings has been reduced to 3 per year to make the meetings more valuable to members and to encourage attendance. The upcoming meeting at the Corner Brewery will include a business review of the Guild’s events and activities in 2007 and a presentation of the proposed budget and marketing plan for 2008. We intend to follow this schedule again in 2008 with the first General Meeting taking place at the Winter Conference in January and the second General Meeting to be held in the spring followed by a Summer Festival Ticket Release Party.
Given the strong business focus of the meeting Guild management is hoping that every brewery member will plan on attending. The presentations at the meeting will detail the Guild’s business over the past year as well as project the budget for 2008. In addition, the 2008 marketing plan will be presented. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in the business of the Guild.
